Place wasn't busy at 6:30am and my recent experience is an indication of why that is.
I ordered an Egg Avocado sandwich on an whole wheat everything bagel toasted. Cashier asked me "only avocado?"
Assuming he meant for toppings I said yes. I paid, got the food, walked out and when I opened the sandwich there was only avocado. I came back in and apologized & explained that there was a misunderstanding - I had ordered an egg Avocado... he argued with me for a good minute saying that that's not what I ordered and he had asked if it was only avocado.
If there's confusion with the order, isn't it standard procedure to repeat the entire order back to the customer to make sure things are right?
I paid $16.61 for the bagel, 2 hash browns & muffin. He said I needed to pay $3 extra to add the eggs. Ha. Thats just so ridiculous.
Thought I found a good place near work to go every morning but never mind.
Always check businesses' Yelp page before visiting. I trusted the Google rating and assumed it was a decent place to go
Quite disappointed with the gluten free option. I paid the same price as my friends, and received a bagel that was not even half of the size. The cream cheese tasted good, but besides that it was a very disappointing experience, thought it was a joke at the start.
Lovely little place, staff are helpful and we came twice during our 5 day visit. Highly recommend Chicken BLT and Chicken Cutlet bagels as well as Razzle Dazzle Smoothie .
Had to get a quick coffee and bagel before my trip, and this was a good option. The store opened at 6 am for the early birds, and I ordered everything bagel with salmon delight smear with ice Chai on the side. It was quite pricy for the whole thing, but it was good. There's options for alternative milk, which I appreciate. Oat milk and Chai went very well together, and I highly recommend it. Overall, it was quick service, and there are options to sit down and rest before getting the day starter.
Stopped by for breakfast before we went to the Javits Center for the car show. The bagel sandwiches were awesome. They use fresh ingredients, real eggs, not liquid eggs, to make the sandwiches. They also have great coffee. I thought they were much better than Kossar's.
Wow. New York bagels built different. The sheer amount of filling is insane. Bagels here are pure art. Light and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside.
I am a local, regular, tipping customer and have yet to be treated with kindness by the employees there. In fact, I was kicked out of my table once while still eating during non-peak hours. I’ve also recommended this restaurant to new locals and visitors (who have also mentioned the rude employees) because I try to support smaller businesses in the city, but this one has just continued to disappoint me with their lack of customer service. Only plus is the food, but not enough to keep me as a customer anymore.
Located between 38th and 39th street… small shop with several tables to eat in… we ordered two bagles and they mixed the order up. This would have been ok but I don’t like everything bagles. The bagel had more of a bread consistency… subway tile lined the back wall in this sun drenched restaurant.
